Call for Papers: Special Issue on Recent Advances in Subsurface Flow and Solute Transport Modelling
We are excited to announce a call for papers for a special issue titled “Recent Advances in Subsurface Flow and Solute Transport Modelling” in the journal Water. This special issue aims to gather the latest research to better understand subsurface flow processes and solute transport to aid decision-makers in water resource and nutrient management.
Topics for Submission:
- Physically based groundwater models to simulate subsurface flow
- Physically based subsurface solute transport models to simulate solute transport
- Statistical models to study subsurface flow and solute transport
- Machine learning methods to support decision-making in water resource management
- Remote sensing data to quantify groundwater recharge or changes in groundwater storage
- Methods/technologies to support water allocation and limit setting
- Chemical/isotope tracers to study water ages, transit time, and age distribution
- Innovative technologies for model calibration and uncertainty analysis
We encourage the submission of interdisciplinary research and review papers within these themes. This is an excellent opportunity for researchers and practitioners in the field to contribute to a vital area of study.
Submission Deadline: 30 January 2025
For more details and to submit your manuscripts, please visit the special issue page.
We look forward to your contributions to this significant field of research.
